FocalPoint International Business Coaching Conference

This morning’s Coaching Challenge of the Week is being led by Brian Tracy Certified FocalPoint Business Coach, Mike Alpert who serves the South Orange County Area in California.

The challenge is:

We held the Annual FocalPoint International Business Coaching Conference last week at the Grand Manchester Hyatt in San Diego.

It was just amazing. There were 70 coaches in attendance from all over the world: the United Kingdom, Ireland, Indonesia, Mexico, Canada, and, of course, all over the U.S.

Some really huge things happened at that conference, both for individual business coaches and for FocalPoint Business Coaching as a whole.

Here’s a few highlights:

Introduction of the Business Coaching iPad Application: This is so cool. All our coaching material will soon be available in an iPad app. Toss out that great big binder full of tons of paper – now we can give the client a nifty little iPad with all their coaching stuff right inside. And it’s completely interactive! So when a client does an exercise in one of the modules, all they need to do is hit “send” and the work gets fired off to their business coach.

New Division of FocalPoint International Business Coaching announced: We introduced our new “Corporate Coaching Division,” where we will specialize in Corporate and Executive Coaching. This division will provide business coaching specifically geared towards the needs of executives and those in the corporate world. Brian Tracy certified FocalPoint Business Coach, Pat Lipovski will head this division.

FocalPoint Assessment Center Announced: This center will focus on the suite of Behavioural Style Assessment tools that we use to work with clients and that we provide for our clients to use internally to help understand communication styles. The tools in the kit are very tactical and apply the concepts of NLP and Matching & Mirror. The center will be coordinated by Margaret Maclay, a certified professional behaviour analyst and a Brian Tracy certified FocalPoint Businesss Coach.

Award Ceremony: Dan Creed, of FocalPoint Coaching in Phoenix, Arizona was the recipient of both the Brian Tracy Award for Sales Excellence and the Coaching Practice of the Year Award. Well done Dan! The Campbell Fraser Award for Coaching Excellence went to Richard Scott in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Congratulations to all our award recipients – you all are so deserving.

I’m going to be expanding on a lot of this in later blogs with interviews and more detailed information – so much of it all is still in the “happening stage.”

I’m still just buzzing from the energy this group of business coaches put out, what a great bunch. Thanks so much guys!

Conference sure was

Conference sure was exciting.  All of the new programs were outstanding and will give us even more tools to make an impact on businesses of all sizes.  As a technology geek I am really excited about the iPad App!  It is going to really enhance the impact that I as a coach can have on my clients.

The Corporate Program is going to be a big opportunity for me to expand my target market and bring a professional and proven program to the corporate market.  I am already making my list of companies that can benefit from this program.

Thanks for a great conference FocalPoint!

I agree with Mike.   It was

I agree with Mike.   It was great to collaborate with an incredible bunch of coaches with years of experience.  I left last year excited to start my practice.  I left this year, excited to take my practice to the next level.

The iPad application is already creating a some buzz for me and that is just through word of mouth. I haven't started marketing it yet.

I'm also looking forward to working with Pat Lipovski and the rest of our coaches as we create a "unified" corporate and executive coaching program.
