Dominic’s passion is educating others to reach their own maximum potential.

Having found his passion in coaching, Dominic joined into a partnership with Brian Tracy and Steve Thompson to grow FocalPoint into the world’s leading coaching brand.

FocalPoint Business Coaching, powered by Brian Tracy is a global franchise that fulfills Dominic’s passion.

At FocalPoint, Dominic is responsible for Coach training, support and development, and is also a member of the Board of Directors of the company.

“We focus on 2 things - Coach Success and Client Success. As long as we stick to that, everything else will keep falling into place” says Dominic Rubino.

Even during his corporate life, Dominic was a serial entrepreneur. It was only after leaving “big business” that he was able to concentrate fully on developing his own business interests.

Dominic began his entrepreneurial career during university. He started a number of ventures, including a Student Painters Franchise.  

After completing his B.A., Dominic moved into telecommunications sales for Sprint. 5 years later, Dominic’s entrepreneurial and sales skills were put to the test as Agency Sales Manager - finding, recruiting, training and supporting independent phone companies to add Sprint services to their product offerings.

In 1998, what began as a side business selling items online became an online bookstore, and then morphed into CanadaPharmacy.com - one of the largest certified online pharmacies in the world.

In 2001, and concurrently with the pharmacy, Dominic became a certified business coach. He quickly made his mark in the industry, with client results and success in his own practice. He was asked to be one of only 5 who were on the International training team - specializing in training coaches on sales and marketing.

In 2005, Dominic sold the pharmacy. A small online business selling used goods on eBay had transformed into a $120 million (USD) call center and mail-order Pharmacy operation, employing 160 people.

As Executive Vice President, Dominic looks after field operations, making sure that Coaches have all of the tools they need to grow successful practices and deliver massive value to their clients.

Of the many initiatives at FocalPoint, some of note are:

“Sharing the Torch” - Dominic has coached and supported over a dozen FocalPoint Coaches (franchisees) who have now become part of the International Training and Support Team.

“The impossible task” find an understudy for Brian Tracy - Brian Tracy fell ill in late 2010, and needed an understudy to deliver his well known 3-day Total Business Mastery Program. Jim Masters, a top Business Coach and FocalPoint Trainer, based out of Omaha, Nebraska was asked to deliver the program should Brian be unable to deliver it.

“Leading Leaders” - The training and support structures at FocalPoint Coaching go both deep and wide. Our feedback on the success of these programs comes from our multiple top Finishes in the annual Franchise Business Review - FBR50.
